Review: 2000 AD - Prog 2291

Out now from Rebellion, my thoughts on the latest sci-fi anthology comic.

The issues between Mega City One and Brit Cit continue in the middle of the sea! The parallel storytelling is very interesting and I like the way it is building up in this way.

Brink: Mercury Retrograde by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)

I like the way this is building and a lot of parts are fitting together. Nevertheless, I didn’t see that ending comings and I look forward to seeing the fallout to come.

Skip Tracer: Valhalla by James Peaty (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dylan Teague (c) Simon  Bowland (l)

The threat and power of the dark star is shown here. I like the way this is being told and the effect of the star. The art is well done and the chase looks to be on soon!

Dexter - Bulletopia: Malice In Plunderland by Dan Abnett (w) Tazio Bettin (a) Matt Soffe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Some good dual aspects here. I like the way the setup is being done and the hints towards what is going to go wrong. The fact that there is some plan is a good thing.

Jaegir: Ferox by Gordon Rennie (w) Simon Coleby (a) Len O'Grady (c) Jim Campbell (l)

A return to Nu-Earth and Jaegir. This looks to be a tense issue with some psychedelic aspects to it all. We learn a little of the mission here, and I’m sure we will get more to come.
