La Mariposa returns in this Lucha Libre adventure.

Launching today is the latest adventure of the Lucha Libre star La Mariposa. Funding starts on Kickstarter and creator James Lawrence has provided another excellent story.

Building off of the previous volumes - although you don’t need to read them, La Mariposa finds herself in a tournament to win some great prizes. It’s well built up, and readers will recognise the excellent characters and the humour behind all of this. That’s not to say there aren’t some serious aspects too - La Mariposa is an excellent protagonist, and her worldview is one to look up to. And that is what leads her to this battle royale.

Those of you who follow me on Twitter probably have noticed that I occasionally tweet wrestling comments and memes. I’ve watched the rise and fall of WCW and ECW, I watch WWE and AEW and been to a few indie shows as well as bigger shows. I do have a little knowledge of the luchadores - Rey Mysterio, L.A. Park, Psicosis and some more, but this is some real action. Combining some excellent comedy and wrestling is a difficult thing, but this really brings it together. I love the way the moves are shown, and it must be fund researching these.

This is an excellent read for fans of comics, wrestling and action. With some great style and a well-told story. If you have backed or bought La Mariposa before then check this out, or if you want to try it, then back it!
